Daisy Juanita Thompson BennettRome, GA

Daisy Juanita Thompson Bennett, age 92 of Rome, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023. She was born to the late Willie H. Thompson and Eva Ponder Thompson in Decatur, AL, she was raised in Baltimore, and has lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life. Juanita was a member of New Life Baptist Church, Rossville and was a beacon of Jesus for her family and friends to see. She tried to be a blessing to everyone she met, with one single goal, to let the world see Jesus, through her. Juanita was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bennett; daughter, Linda Cawood; sister, Willie Mae Sowers; and brothers, Lester Thompson, Floyd Thompson, Harvey Thompson, and Herman Thompson. Juanita is survived by her loving children, Doug (Kathy) Bennett, Sheila (Dale) Bennett, and Nancy Bennett; 8 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Freddie Morrow and Chaplain Jason Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday
