Phillip Dale Hooper, age 71, of LaFayette passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Dale was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, where he played piano, taught adult Sunday School, and was a licensed preacher. He retired from Regis Corp. in Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Richard Alan Kratochvil, Jr.; parents, Nealy and Winnie Hooper; brothers, Melvin, Eugene, and Johnny Hooper; and sisters, Margie Ford, Mary Ruth Collins, Evelyn Starnes, and Linda Guest.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Frankie Hooper; daughters, Leslie Gail (John) Latham, Cyndi (Kevin) Amick, and Stacie (Todd) Hall; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Karen) Hooper; sister, Nancy (Paula Okroi) Hooper; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 8, at Bethesda Baptist Church, with Pastor Tim Redden and Pastor LeRoy Webb officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Amick, John David Mocahbee, Alan Mocahbee, Andy Mocahbee, Matthew Hall, and Ryan Bohannon.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
