Christopher Daniel Harper, 64, went home to rest in the loving embrace of the father on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong resident of East Brainerd, where most of his childhood was spent at the Ballfields. He attended Ooltewah Highschool and was married to the love of his life in 1979. He worked throughout the area as a Painter and Paper Hanger for 50 years, even having some of his work shown in City Scope Magazine on two separate occasions.
He was a soft spoken and gentle man who was always there to lend a hand or help in any way that he could. Always giving whatever he did his all, whether that be during work, around the house, or anything else. To his family he was always the cornerstone, the one person you could depend on to stand behind you no matter what was going on and that's how he will always be remembered: a fighter, dependable, loving, caring, humble, and above all else an amazing person.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents: Walter & Jeanine Harper; brothers: Glenn, Steve, Robin, Trevor Harper; and sisters: Kathy Touchstone, Kelly Davenport.
He is survived by his soulmate of 46 years Cathy Harper; daughters: Tiffany (Buddy) Parker, Amber (Curtis) Duncan; grandchildren Caleb, Austin, Brinley Harper, Kelsey Duncan, Hailey, Hannah, Hope, Gracie Parker; 10 great grandchildren; brothers: Joe (Barb) Harper, Roy (Charlotte) Harper; and sisters: Teresa (Terry) Kelley, Connie Rowland, Elaine Smith.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the chapel of W. L.
