David Dale Nelson, 55, of Flintstone, Georgia, passed away on February 2, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by faith, kindness, and dedication to those he loved. David worked at Astemo for six years, earning respect for his strong work ethic and commitment. A devoted Christian, he lived his life guided by faith and genuine care for others. He enjoyed fishing, farming, watching football—especially cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys—and spending time with his beloved hound, Nelson. David was a loud, fun-loving, and generous person, a friend to everyone, and always willing to help those in need. Loved by many, he touched countless lives with his big heart and vibrant personality. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Lee Nelson.

He is survived by his father, Donald Dale Nelson; his brothers, Daniel Dean Nelson (Lori) and Jeremy Lyle Nelson; his cherished nieces and nephews; his cousins; his aunts and uncles; and many lifelong friends.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring David on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026. After the service, we will proceed to the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church Cemetery for the burial.
