Dore “David” Alexander Blevins, 89, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023.
A native of Redding, California, he was a veteran of the US Navy and the US Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Gertrude Blevins; daughter, Martha Elizabeth Smith; grandson, Gator David Smith; parents, Noah and Minnie Blevins; brothers, Noah Blevins, Jr., Eddie Blevins, Roy Blevins, Wyatt Blevins, James Blevins, William Blevins, Glenn Blevins; sisters, Annie Holbrooks, Janie Archer and Dorothy Broom; several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his daughters, Phyllis Derrick Williams, Stephanie Marie Wasilchin, Lynn Teresa Derrick; sisters, Faye Sayre; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
