Doris Elizabeth Smith, age 91, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Huey Smith; sons, Donald E. Smith and Michael B. Smith; parents, James and Ollie Sharp; and sisters, Imajean Sharp, Joann Adams, Jeanette Penrod, and Helen Conaway.
Doris is survived by her sons, David J.C. Smith, Gary (Wanda) H. Smith, and David H. Smith Jr.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Dale and Josey Ramey; and several nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel, with Gary Howell officiating.
Interment will take place at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
