Doris Faye Shaw, 79, of Rossville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2023. She was a native of Valley Head, Alabama, and lived in northwest Georgia for the last 60 years.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Doris loved visiting with her friends, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her parents Odus and Willie Mae Palmer; brothers Richard, Billy, and AJ Palmer and sister Gustava (Jane) Dover.
Doris is survived by her sons; Jeff Shaw of Rossville, Ga, Leif (Elizabeth) Shaw of Marietta, GA; grandchildren Madison, Banks, Caroline, Shelby, and Walker; longtime companion Ross Nichols of Rock Springs, GA; brother Benny Palmer of Valley Head, AL; nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Per Doris’ request there will be no funeral service held.
Arrangements are made by Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel in Rossville, GA.
