Dr. Telford BarrettRinggold, GA

Dr. Telford Barrett, 100, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024,

He was born in Cleveland Georgia on August 20, 1923 a son of the late Carl and Cleo Todd Barrett .  Telford then served his county faithfully and honorably during World War II as part of the United States Army achieving rank of Cpl.

He went on to continue is Education and received his Doctorate degree and was a Professor at Tennessee Temple University for many years.

Telford was a faithful member of New Liberty Baptist Church and was a published Author of two books, Our Journey into Eternity and Revelation for today.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Bernice Barrett

Survivors include his wife of Thirteen years Yevonia “ Toni “ Barrett; son Merv ( Tammy ) Barrett; grandchildren Merv( Cheryl ) Barrett, Jr. and  Myche ( Sarah ) Barrett. Great grandson Nicholas Barrett. Several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Dr. Barrett will be held 11:30 am Friday January 12, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Turner and Rev. Danny Henson officiating.

Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
