Edith Marie Overby LeaRossville

Edith M. Lea, 93, of Rossville, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday February 18th, 2026. She has lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Rock Spring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Overby and Mellie Ann Overby; daughter, Joyce Elaine May and her husband of 69 years, R.A. Lea.

Survivors include her children, Edward Lea, Wayne Lea, Debbie Marie Webb, Harold Lebron Lea and Angie Diane Horton; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 25, 2026 in the Ft. Oglethorpe chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Angel & Bro. David Winton officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
