Evelyn Josephine DavisRinggold

Evelyn Josephine Davis, age 82, of Ringgold, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Ringgold, Georgia and a lifelong member of Peavine Baptist Church. Evelyn graduated from Ringgold High School class of 1960 before obtaining a business degree from Edmondson Business College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She worked at Loveman’s department store for many years before retiring in 1982. After leaving Loveman’s, Evelyn worked at Chattanooga College Medical and retired from there in the early 2000s. In her free time, she enjoyed needle point.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel David Davis and Mary Alice Wilson Davis, as well as her brother-in-law, Ellis Brockman.
She is survived by her sisters, Martha Davis Brockman, Doris (Chuck) Meadows; nephew, David (Tina) Brockman; great niece, Haley (Sean) Heatherly; step niece, Joy (Travis) Lewis; step nephew, Jason Meadows.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, in the Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with Pastor Marty Green Officiating.
