Faye “Granny” HarmonRising Fawn

Faye “Granny” Harmon, age 90, resident of Rising Fawn, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
Mrs. Harmon, daughter of the late Wright Ivens and Leola Giles Ivens, was born December 8, 1934 in Madisonville, Tennessee. She served in the ministry for over 55 years and was the pastor and later minister at Church of the God Prophesy in Chickamauga, Georgia. Mrs. Harmon enjoyed gardening, taking trips to Florida with the family, and also eating out at restaurants with family and friends. While at home, many would see her watching games shows, documentaries, and classic western shows and movies. Most of all, she would be reading her Bible. The family remembers her as a Christian lady, on who accepted everyone, loved her Lord and Savior, and always looked forward to spending quality time with her family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carnez Junior Harmon; three sons, Gary Carnez Harmon, Randolph Josair Harmon, and Michael Lee Harmon; one sister, Sue Ketchum; and one brother, Albert Ivens.
Mrs. Harmon is survived by two daughters, Karen Gayle Goodman and Cheryl Ann Wiley; one son, Jerry (Vickey) Harmon; six sisters, Ivena Harmon, Betty Stone, Sandy Veal, Debbie Jones, Audrey (Tracy) Hamilton, and Loretta Orr; two brothers, J.W. (Mary Davis) Ivens Tommy Coleman; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 2 p.m. with Jerry Harmon officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Harmon, Jr., Josh Wiley, Robert Wiley, Chanse Bailey, Michael Harmon, and Dalton Wiley. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 5-8 p.m.
