Faye Jordan
August 8, 1931 - July 10, 2025

Faye Jordan, age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Mrs. Jordan, daughter of the late Edward Clyde Barnes and Caroline Louise Tinker Barnes, was born August 8, 1931 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a long-time member of Northside Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga where she was actively involved. Mrs. Jordan was a lifelong nurse and caregiver. She enjoyed working in her flower garden (particularly known for her talent of creating cottage gardens). Mrs. Jordan enjoyed traveling with her family. While at home, she was known for her baking of muffins, cookies, and banana bread. Many would often stop by and see her quilting, sewing, and conquering difficult jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She also collected unique China and glassware pieces. Mrs. Jordan always looked forward to reading her Bible and listening to Moody Bible Institute messages, particularly Pacific Garden Mission. The family remembers her as a lady who treated everyone with love, respect, and dignity – one who showed no pre-judgement of anyone.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Reginald Jordan, Sr.; and brothers, James Barnes, Bob Barnes, and Clyde Barnes.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne (William) Carty, Jennifer (Gary) Wooten, and Regina (Rick) Edwards; one sister, Charlotte “Rosie” (Bill) Henderson; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Judy) Byer, Jared (Laura) Byer, Joseph (Shelby) Summers, Emilie Wooten, Sergio Wooten, Amanda McGee, Brittany (Corbin) Sheram, and Sarah (Mark) Gray; ten great-grandchildren, Jacob, Cameron, Fionia, Blakely, Benton, Liam, Bonnie, Ian, Jake, Rhett; personal assistant, Madison Shadwick; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Monday, July 14, 2025, 2 p.m. with Reverend Rick Edwards officiating. Private interment will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 1-5 p.m. and also prior to the service on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 1-2 p.m.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of The Canopy at Boynton Ridge and Tapestry Hospice, for their kind support and care.
