Flossie Abbey Laney Camp
March 28, 1927 - March 4, 2024

Flossie Abbey Laney Camp, 96, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 4, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Clay County, Alabama on March 28, 1927 to the late, Jesse & Etter Morrison Laney and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life. She was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. She loved her family gatherings & cooking every Monday night, surrounded by her children & grandchildren. She was a true defender of her grandchildren and they were the light of her world on this side of Heaven. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Camp; brothers, Perry Laney and Brennan Laney; sisters, Bernice Powell, Bertie Lee Ingram, Myrtle Howse and Audra Roden; and daughter-in-law, Judy Camp.

Survivors include her children, Judy Ann Blevins, Jerry & Dianne Camp, Steve & Lynn Camp and Rickey & Kathy Camp; brother & sister-in-law, Bud & Nina Laney; sisters, Ruby Williams and Ruth Bell; grandchildren, Traci McCracken, Kevin & Brittany Camp, Anthony & Mandy Blevins, Tiffany & James Page, Casey & Emily Camp, Scott & Katie Camp, Brad & Courtney Camp and Heather Early; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Larry Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. ~ 8 p.m. on Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
