Frances Imogene Ramsey, age 85, resident of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Mrs. Ramsey, daughter of the late James Theodore Holcomb and Leola Almida Shields Holcomb, was born November 6, 1939 in Walker County, Georgia. She was a member of James Street Church of God and retired from Hutchinson Nursing Facility. Mrs. Ramsey enjoyed trips to the mountain and thoroughly enjoyed the trip she made to Israel (the Holy Land). She also enjoyed gardening and shopping. While at home, many would see her watching Hallmark movies, classic western movies, and listening of to Southern Gospel music. Most of all, she looked forward to spending quality time with her family. The family remembers her as a Godly woman, full of kindness and love – always wanting to help others.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Paul Ramsey; son, Ronald Edward Roach; daughter, Darinda Gay Roach Gravitt; sister, Emma Jewel Oswalt; and brothers, James Edward Holcomb and Arley Alfred Holcomb.
Mrs. Ramsey is survived by one daughter, Emaline Jean Cardin; three sons, James Harm Roach, Jr.; Alfred Eugene Roach, and Gary “Luke” Roach; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 1 p.m. with Reverend Lawrence Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 3 – 8 p.m.
