Frances LandChickamauga, GA

Frances Land, age 94 of Chickamauga, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born to the late Edgar and Lillie “Cordel” Bailey. She attended Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center for over 15 years. Frances loved everything about classic country music and playing and caring for her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Land, daughter, Gail Townsend; sister, Cora Mae Harris; brothers, Cicro, Henry, Richard, J.C. and Bill Bailey. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Tyra Shae, Russell (Gwen) Townsend and Joseph Land; great grandchildren, Chris and Jeff Hamilton and Whitney and Kyle Townsend; great-great grandchildren, Austin, Landon and Chloe Hamilton; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes – Chickamauga Chapel with Rev. Russell Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 ~ 8:00 on Friday, April 28, 2023 and on Saturday until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am.
