Frank Matthew Grimaldi, age 92 of Ringgold, passed away Monday May 15, 2023. Frank retired from NYPD as a Patrolman, moved to Florida and then North Georgia in 2001. He enjoyed collecting civil war memorabilia and model cars. He also loved vending at the flea market.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Grimaldi; daughter, Diane Sabatello and son-in-law, Anthony Sabatello.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 24 years, Iva Grimaldi; step-sons, Noel Rapoza and Johnny Rapoza, six grandchildren, Luis, KristiAnn, Daniel, Brandi, Hailey and Terry; several great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be 3:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday May 17, 2023 at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Thursday May 18, 2023 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Sean Cooley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
