George Freeman Whitt Sr., 72 of Rising Fawn, passed away, Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Whitt; parents, Clyde and Bertha Whitt, brother Benjamin Whitt.
Survivors include his children, Melissa (Richie) Gill, Freeman Whitt, Tracy (Robin) Murray; sisters, Margaret Vail, Ernestine Whitt, and Grace Wooten; brother, Charlie Whitt; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris), Kelley (Randall), Tiffany (Chris), Emmaly (Justin), Nicole (Richard), Monica (Chris), Ashley, Amber and Kayla; twenty-four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Mt. Olive Cemetery on Lookout Mt. with Pastor Richard Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
