Helen Louise Durham, age 82, resident of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Mrs. Durham, daughter of the late Philip Homer Liles and Ora Mae Lightsey Liles, was born November 11, 1942 in Pisgah, Alabama. She was Baptist by faith and had worked at Synthetic Industries for over 10 years. Mrs. Durham enjoyed taking trips to her beauty salon; trips to Mississippi and Canada; and taking cruises. While at home, she enjoyed canning vegetables and cooking for the family. Most of all, she looked forward to taking care of her grandchildren. The family remembers her as a lady who loved deeply.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Sherlin; grandson, Daniel Sherlin; daughter-in-law, Cathy Pankey; five sisters; and four brothers.

Mrs. Durham is survived by one daughter, Angela (Darrell) McNabb; two sons, Norman Dwane Pankey, Jr. and Scott (Dawn) Durham; two brothers, Charles Ray (Jenny) Liles and Bobby Joe Liles; son-in-law, Carl Sherlin, Sr..; nine grandchildren, Starr (Philip) Martin, Cassie (Kenny) Watts, Darrell McNabb, Jr., Carl Sherlin, Jr., Eric Pankey, Blake Pankey, Janie Durham, Tyler Durham, and Michael Durham; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1779 North Main Street, LaFayette, Georgia on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
