Jack Donald Rowan
April 20, 1941 ~ August 22, 2023

Jack Donald Rowan, married to the late Ann McClain Rowan for 61 years, was the son of JT and Laura Mae Rowan. He graduated from Rossville High School and attended the University of Chattanooga. Mr. Rowan retired from Combustion Engineering after working 30 years, and then was elected Commissioner of Catoosa County. He loved singing bass as a part of the Happy Harmony Quartet and was a Choir Director for 35 years around North Georgia. He was also inducted and a member of the TriState Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Mr. Rowan was a member of the Rossville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Another cherished pastime was coaching Little League girls’ softball and boys’ baseball. He was an avid supporter and member of the LFO Band Boosters for 16 years. More recently he served 10 years as a Bailiff for the Catoosa County Courthouse.

Mr. Rowan is survived by Daughter Angelia Beard (David), Son Greg Rowan (Becky), Daughter Andrea Proctor (Mike), Grandchildren Cliff and Clay Proctor, Aaron and Anna Rowan, Katie and Kelsey Proctor, and Brother Mike Rowan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Cloud Springs Baptist Church with Aaron Rowan and Greg Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
