Jackie Joyce “Joy” Vail Justice, age 72 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born to the late Thomas Will Vail and Rachael Christine Davis Vail in Chattanooga, TN, was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and attended Old Bethel Baptist Church. Joy enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Justice; and siblings, Fay Cargile, Karen Buttler, Patty Brown and Butchie Vail. Joy is survived by her loving son, Jeff Justice; grandchildren, Jordan Justice, Jacob Justice, and Jeremy Justice; great grandchild, Caroline Justice; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, with Pastor Robbie Cargile officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens-South. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday. Condolences may be left at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
