ackie J. Brisendine “Jack,” 80, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. Jack was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for forty-two years and retired as Postmaster of Flintstone, Georgia. He also served his country in the Tennessee National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve, where he retired after twenty-nine years, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. Jack was a member of Tompkins Lodge #466 F&AM and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed touring the world with his wife, Judy.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Malone Brisendine and Harvey Edmond Brisendine, and his first wife, Joyce Finley Brisendine.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Judy Bramlett Brisendine; sister, Judy Hodges Huckaby; his children, Renee Brisendine Ford (Lee) and Phillip J. Brisendine (Carrie); and two grandchildren, Andrew Cooke (Virginia) and Finley Besh (Andy).
The family has arranged a time to remember and honor Jack. Friends and family are invited to join us on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service, a time to celebrate Jack’s life, will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. Following the service, we will proceed to Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, 724 Hogan Road, Rossville, Georgia, for the burial.
