Jake “JC” Charlie Haynes, age 84, of Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. He was born in Tennessee and was raised as a farmer. When he was sixteen his family moved to Ringgold, Georgia and he has resided here ever since. JC was a member of Clear View Baptist Church and worked with Candle Wick Yarn for thirty-eight years. In his early life, he enjoyed tinkering with small engines. Recently he spent his free time going to yard sales, flea markets, traveling, dancing, and singing karaoke whether anyone was listening or not. JC could often be found drinking coffee and watching the news to catch up on politics.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Taylor Shubert; daughter, Brenda K. Haynes; grandson, Brandon Hicks; brothers, Lawrence “Peanut” Haynes and Jim Haynes.
JC is survived by his sons, Larry (Barbara) Haynes, Jake (Tara) Haynes; former wife of thirty years, Frankie Lee Haynes; brother, Bill (Sally) Taylor; grandchildren, Blake Haynes, Erica Haynes, Shanna Haynes, Brittany Adams, and Jerrell Adams, seven great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Shadwick officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
