June 27, 1960 - January 5, 2026
James Albert Shouldiers, 65, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026. James was born on June 27, 1960, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Dorris and Reba Shouldiers. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area and was a member of Shields Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia. James was one of our great American heroes. He honorably served in the United States Army and was proud to be an American and a Veteran. After his time in the military, James worked as a driver and greatly enjoyed his time driving tow trucks. He was a member of the Eagles Club, an accomplished metal artist who created folk art, and a champion arm wrestler who won the 1985 Bad Man of the Year award. He enjoyed drag racing and classic cars. James loved being outdoors and would often go hunting and fishing whenever he could. Above all, James was a family man who treasured his wife, children, and grandchildren, enjoying every moment with them. He was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Dorris Brill and Reba Olena Shouldiers; brother, Johnny Shouldiers; and grandson, Jayden Warran Willis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Michelle Lynn Shouldiers; children, Jessica (Jimi) Long of Clarksville, Tennessee, Amanda (Dillon) Wallace of Chickamauga, Georgia, and James (Victoria) Shouldiers of Trenton, Georgia; sisters, Lori Heath, and Reba (Gene) Wagner of Fort Payne, Alabama; grandchildren, Bryson Gainer, Myles Willis, Hazel Willis, Waylon Wallace, Easton Shouldiers, Dela Shouldiers, Judson Wallace, and one grandchild on the way; bonus grandchildren, Dawson Wallace, Bear Long, and Gage Kohl; and several nieces and nephews.
