James “Jimmy” Andrew Goodson age 82, of Chickamauga, Georgia went home to be with The Lord on Saturday – November 8, 2025. He was born in Chickamauga to the late Jack Andrew and Imogene Caldwell Goodson. He served his country in the United States Army. He drove a tanker truck for many years and retired from Georgia Natural Gas with over twenty years of service as a service man. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga for many years and served as the Sunday School Superintendent for several years. He enjoyed farm life raising cattle, harvesting hay and time spent on a John Deere tractor. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Darliss Evelyn Sullivan Goodson. Jimmy is survived by his daughters: Deborah (Billy) Jackson of Rossville, GA, Nicole (John) Martin of Chickamauga, GA, son: Jeffrey Andrew (Lacey) Goodson of Chickamauga, GA, sisters: Judy (Robert) Terry of Chattanooga, TN, Jackie (Ron) Norris of Atlanta, GA, brother: Jerry (Debbie) Goodson of Chickamauga, GA, grandchildren: Matt (Hope) Fults, Jagger (McKenzie) Martin, MaKayden (Brevin) Massengale, Jenz Martin, Jes Martin, Steele Goodson, Hampton Goodson, great-grandchildren: Quinnlyn Fults, Garrison (Reagan) Fults, Lovey Massengale, great-great-granddaughter: Emberlyn Fults, several nieces and nephews.
