James Howard Treece, 73, of Rossville, Georgia, passed on February 11, 2026. Born in Hammond, Indiana, on June 24, 1952, he was the son of the late Charles and Jean Treece. He relocated from Indiana to Northwest Georgia in 1982 and spent the rest of his life there. James enjoyed watching sports, especially football, and was a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan. Above all, he cherished his family. He was a kind man and a wonderful husband, brother, and grandfather. Loved by everyone who knew him, he will be sincerely missed.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jean Treece, and brother, Bobby Treece.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Barbara Ann Treece; son, Teddy (Jackie) Burns of McDonald, Tennessee; brothers, Richard (Ruth) Treece of St. John, Indiana and Ken (Jennifer) Treece of Holland, Michigan; grandchildren, Austin Burns, Michael Burns, and Destiny (Gabriel) DeLassus; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Noah, Zamira, Zaylee and Lyla Mae; and several nieces and nephews.

A Pavilion service will be held at the National Cemetery at a later date. Your prayers and support mean a lot to us during this challenging time, and we genuinely appreciate them.
