September 6, 1955 - July 16, 2023
James “Jimmy” Everett Jackson, Jr., 67 of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on September 6, 1955 to the late, Jewel Francis & James “Jack” Jackson, Sr. and had lived in the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas for most his life. He was a graduate of Howard High School, Class of 74 and was an active & valued member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church for more than 30 years. He retired from the City of Chattanooga Fire Department in 2012, as a Lieutenant after more than 27 1/2 years of service as a Firefighter and was very involved with helping his son, Kaden Jackson in Boy Scouts for the last 10 years. His main priority in life was God first and then going above and beyond to provide for his family day in and day out. He was a true shining example of humble servant leadership, always leading from the shadows and never wanting recognition. He was a man that will be remembered for leaving “his mark” on all that knew him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by one brother.
