James Talley SummeyEast Ridge, TN

James “Talley” Summey, age 72 of East Ridge, went to be with his Lord on Saturday May 20, 2023. He was a member of Ooltewah Church of God. He retired from Maaco after over 40 years of service. Talley enjoyed reading and had his own extensive library.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Summey; sis, Linda McKissick; brothers, Jim Summey and Larry Summey; and first wife, Darlene Summey.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 12 years, Betty Summey; sons, Kenny Summey (Tammy), Doug Cleaver (Angelica), and Marshall Cleaver; brothers, Ted Summey (Ann) and Tim Summey; sisters, Elaine (Roy) Cope and Faye Combs; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.
The family will receive friends 4pm until 8pm Tuesday May 23, 2023 and 9am until noon Wednesday May 24, 2023 at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 12pm Wednesday May 24, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. Bishop Willard Griffin, Jr. and Bishop Edmond Stallings officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
