Jeffery Alan Gordon, known to family and friends as “Jeff” and “Gordo,” age 57, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. A lifelong resident of Ringgold, Jeff was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Jeff had a deep passion and remarkable talent for baseball. He proudly played for Ringgold High School and continued his baseball career at the collegiate level. After college, Jeff spent the next thirty-five years playing men’s league softball, where he became well known for his extraordinary ability to hit a softball hundreds of yards. When he wasn’t on the field, Jeff enjoyed staying active and working out at The Rock Fitness Center. For twenty-five years, he worked as a bail bondsman and was the owner of Jeff Gordon Bonding. Jeff was a devoted sports fan, especially of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves. Above all else, Jeff was a loving father, grandfather, boyfriend, and a devoted caregiving son—someone his mother was deeply proud of.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Luther Jerry Gordon and his grandparents, Charles and Lucile Stubblefield and Luther and Velma Gordon.
He is survived by his children, Kent Gordon(Celeste Rhodes), Chase Gordon, and Abby Gordon; his mother, Myrtle Stubblefield Gordon; his girlfriend, Tonia Brigham; beloved grandchildren, Neyland, Austyn, Callahan, Aiden and Kenslie; as well as numerous friends in the softball community.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 in the Wallis – Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes in Ringgold, Georgia with Pastor Tony Hyatt officiating.
