Jerry Shaw, age 70, resident of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at NHC, Lewisburg, Tennessee.
Mr. Shaw, son of Freddie Lee Shaw and the late Beatrice “Bea” Yvonne Bowling Shaw, was born May 8, 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After attending Rossville High School, he began working at Crystal Springs Bleachery where he worked faithfully for over 25 years. Mr. Shaw enjoyed hiking, particularly the Appalachian Trial. While at home, he enjoyed listening to classic rock, watching wrestling and classic western movies.
The family remembers him as a hardworking and loyal man who loved his grandchildren immensely.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his father, Fred Shaw; two sons, Jerry Allen Shaw and Danny L. (Jennifer Anne) Shaw; one sister, Brenda (Steve) Rapier; three brothers, Rick (Mary) Shaw, Kenneth L. (Delores) Shaw, and David L. (Irie) Shaw; two grandchildren, James and Alexis; many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 3-6 p.m.
