Jerry Wilson WatkinsRossville

Jerry Wilson Watkins, age 76, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. A lifelong resident of Rossville, Jerry graduated from Rossville High School with the Class of 1968. He was of the Baptist faith and spent more than twenty-five years as a dedicated truck driver with Midstate Automotive Distributors. Afterward, he continued serving others as a security guard with Walden Security for over five years before retiring in 2014. Jerry was known for his strong work ethic, playful sense of humor, and love of life. He delighted in playing practical jokes on family and friends, had a heart for animals, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Watkins; parents, Woodrow W. Watkins and Helen Laxson Watkins, and sister, Pat Brock.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Adam) Brumlow, Elizabeth (Thomas) Smith; grandchildren, Landon Smith, Ramsey and Reese Brumlow; niece, Andrea (Greg) Bentley, nephew, Johnny Brock, and great niece, Caroline Bentley.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 20, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the chapel of W. L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens – South.
