Jimmy Cooper, age 56, resident of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 8,2026 at Common Spirit Hospital, Ringgold, Georgia.
Mr. Cooper, son of the late James Lee Cooper and Rose McDade Cooper, was born May 12, 1969 in East Ridge, Tennessee. He was Baptist by faith and worked in the Powder Coating industry for over 28 years. Mr. Cooper worked faithfully for Metal Working Solutions for many years. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and watching Georgia Bulldog football. While at home, many would find him listening to Southern Gospel music; watching the Nature and Weather channels on television, particularly enjoyed watching Painting with Bob Ross. He also had a strong passion for drawing artwork. The family remembers him as a Godly man, one who did not live a life of his past.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Cooper; sister, Rhonda Cooper; and brothers, Jaime Cooper and Robert McDade.
Mr. Cooper is survived by two daughters, Heather (Casey) Curtis and Ashley (Shane) Hurst; two sons, Justin Cooper and Austin Cooper; fiancé Stacey “Co Co” Thomas; nine grandchildren, Karly, Casey, Jr., Alyssa, Ellie, Chase, Layla, Zoey, Kaidin, and Grayson; many other relatives and friends.
