Jo Alice Lindsey Galloway, age 92, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Born in the North Georgia area to the late Lee Lindsey and Lillie Mae Lindsey, Jo was a lifelong resident of her beloved community and a faithful member of Old Fort Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe.
A devoted servant of Christ, Jo spent many years in ministry alongside her husband, W.L. “Dub” Galloway, sharing the love of Jesus and touching countless lives through their work. Her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and servant’s heart were evident in all she did. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend whose legacy of love and grace will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Jo was preceded in death by her loving husband, W.L. “Dub” Galloway; her sister, Cathleen Wooten; and her brother, Otis Lindsey.
She is survived by her devoted sons and daughters-in-law, David & Kim Galloway and Danny & Kathy Galloway; her treasured grandchildren, Christy Galloway, Chris (Jennifer) Galloway, Allison (Stephen) Keith, Travis (Tristian) Galloway, and Erica Galloway; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Jo’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in the chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, with Pastor Paul Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 16, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and prior to the service on Wednesday.
Jo’s life was a testament to faith, family, and service. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord, reunited with loved ones, and at peace.
