Joe Thomas “Buddy” Gill, 78, of Lookout Mountain, GA passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was a lifelong resident of Lookout Mountain, GA and retired from Chattanooga Glass Company. Buddy enjoyed fishing his entire life and he especially enjoyed it when he was with his son and grandchildren. Buddy also loved tractors and he took great pride in working and restoring them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Gill and Edna Ruth Gill; and brothers, Roy Gill and Joe Gill.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Glenda Gill; son, Stacy Gill of Lookout Mountain; several grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Caregivers at Hearth Hospice and to all employees of Home Care Solutions for their love and care during this time.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery on Lookout Mountain.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
