John “Hot Rod” Alan Agard, age 64, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee most of his life before moving to Tunnel Hill in 2012. John enjoyed playing cards, working on his car and building large-scale LEGOs. He worked at Mohawk Industries for 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Albert Agard and Diana Fouts Agard, as well as his brother, Terry Lee.
John is survived by his longtime partner of sixteen years, Jackie Butler, her daughter, Cynthia Butler; sons, Jeremy (Ashley) Agard, John Alan Agard Jr.; sister, Denise A. (Jim) Justice; brother, James G. (Melanie) Agard; granddaughter, Zelda Gifford; close nephews, Josh Caldwell and Andrew Agard, as well as many more nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel with Pastor Justin Gazaway officiating.
