John Franklin Millican IIIChickamauga

John Franklin Millican III, age 46, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2025, following a tragic house fire. Born in Chattanooga, TN, to John F. Millican Jr. and the late Cheryl A. Eaker Millican, John was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and a faithful member of Elizabeth Lee Methodist Church.

For more than a decade, John devoted his life to educating and mentoring young people—whether teaching social studies, coaching football or track, or simply being the Christ-like example God placed in their lives. He was also a gifted musician and a proud Georgia Bulldogs fan. Above all, John was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose compassion, humor, and steadfast faith touched countless lives.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl A. Eaker Millican.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Heather Nave Millican; his cherished sons, Noah Luke Millican and Elijah Michael Millican; father, Johnny Millican Jr.; brother, Josh (Heather) Millican; nephew, Hunter Millican; niece, Jaedyn Millican; great-nephew, Jaxson; and many extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Elizabeth Lee Methodist Church, with Pastor Zach Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
