Joseph “Joey” H. Alexander, Jr., resident of East Lake, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at his residence. Joey, son of the late Joseph Hamilton Alexander and Geneva Faye Pollard Alexander, was born December 26, 1953 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He always looked forward to visiting with neighbors and working in his yard. For years, Joey was the caretaker for his grandparents. The family remembers him as a man who enjoyed making people laugh and someone who genuinely cared for his neighbors and helped whenever possible.
Besides his parents, Joey was preceded in death by his sister, Gwendolyn Kathleen Jenkins. He is survived by two sisters, Sheila Henley and Janice Varner; two brothers, James (Marsha) Alexander and Rick Alexander; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled at Chattanooga Memorial Park, 501 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 1 p.m. with Reverend Terry Burns officiating. The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia prior to the service on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. till 12 noon.
