Judith “Earlene” Franklin, age 82, of Walker County, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Born in Kensington, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Earl Franklin and Rebecca Arnold Franklin. A lifelong resident of Walker County, Earlene was a devoted member of the Baptist faith.
She was a proud graduate of Gordon Lee High School and retired from Mohawk Industries after many dedicated years in the textile industry. Earlene was known for her strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family and community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles “Bud” Franklin, Wayne Franklin, and Marvin Franklin.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Maxine Baker; brother, Leon Franklin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Coulter Cemetery, with Pastor David Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of departure for the cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home – J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
