Judy Jackson Allison, age 76, resident of Chickamauga, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Mrs. Allison, daughter of the late James Guy Gooch and Mary Ruth Boss, was born April 23, 1949 in Rossville, Georgia. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Chickamauga and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #217 Chickamauga. Mrs. Allison worked faithfully in the banking industry for over 35 years until her retirement from ComTrust Credit Union. She enjoyed gardening, traveling to the beach, and shopping. While at home, Mrs. Allison kept an orderly home, enjoyed reading, and watching the Hallmark and HGTV channels. The family remembers her as a friendly outgoing lady who never met a stranger – one that loved having conversations with people she met.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Jackson and her sister, Billie Coppinger.
Mrs. Allison is survived by her husband Jesse Allison; two sons, Jerry (Julie) Jackson and David Jackson; three step-children, Kerry (John) Ison, Alicia (Kevin) Boyd, and Phillip (Lorie) Allison; one sister, Pat Howard; one brother, James Leon Gooch; five grandchildren, Conner Jackson, AnnaGrace Jackson, Joseph Jackson, David Jackson, and Cora Jackson; eight step-grandchildren, Yolanda (Derek) Ball, Sydni (Andrew) Gilewicz, Anna (Chase) Morris, Austin (Cassandra) Boyd, Logan Boyd, Jessie (Spencer) Humphryes, Katie Allison, and Emmie Allison; seven great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Saturday, May 10, 2025, 11 a.m. with Reverend Wesley Stokes and Dr. Tim Owens. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South, Rossville, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 2-8 p.m. and also on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m.
