Judy K. Mullens, age 77, resident of Rock Spring, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Sequatchie, Tennessee.

Mrs. Mullens, daughter of the late James Owen Clanton and Noville Kathleen James Clanton, was born March 31, 1947 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. She was a hairdresser for over 20 years, owning and operating Hair Pleasers Hair Salon before she retired. Mrs. Mullens was a Christian and enjoyed listening to country and gospel music and being both an Atlanta Braves and NASCAR fan. But most of all, she looked forward to cooking meals for her family and friends. The family remembers her as a great hostess to many, where she enjoyed cooking a meal for everyone.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Lee Mullens; a sister, Betty Jean Clanton Elrod; and three brothers, James Owen Clanton, Jr., Lindon Hilary “Nubbin” Clanton, and Jerry Allen Clanton.
She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Mullens Poling, Gina (Greg) Mullens Cross, and Misti (Lloyd) Mullens Shadrick; one son, Heath (Courtney Smith) Mullens; seven grandchildren, Cortney (David) Parham, Walter Poling, Logan Thrower, Joseph Looney, Samantha (Lucas) Owens, Ryder Gebhardt, and Rowdy Mullens; one great-grandson, Dawson Owens; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. E.S.T.
