Julie Benjamin, 61, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her home. She had lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area and was a graduate of Ringgold High School. Her passions in life were spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and was known for her southern cooking and she also loved spending time with her dog, Chester.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Benjamin; brother, Robert Benjamin; and great grandson, Jax Langston.
Survivors include three children, Tiffany Smith, Samantha Smith-Burkes (Napolian), and Christopher Smith; stepchildren, Angela Williamson (Rick) and Michael Smith; father, James “Jim” (Melinda) Benjamin; sister, Kim Beck (Gary); brothers, Phillip Benjamin and James Benjamin (Starla); sister-in-law, Earline Green; five grandchildren, Justin Langston, Allexus Langston, Kaylee Smith, Markel Byrd, and Peyton Smith; two great grandchildren, Ayden Langston and Wylder Langston; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:30p.m. at the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Reverend Gary Beck officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12-2p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
