Karen Denise WynnChickamauga

Karen Denise Wynn, 68, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late James and Learlene Ray, she spent her entire life in the Chattanooga-Northwest Georgia area, but Chickamauga was home—she loved it there. Karen was a dedicated Christian who loved her Lord. She enjoyed tending her garden and doing yard work. Above all, Karen cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She was an amazing mother and a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and caring for them. There was nothing she would not do for her family. Karen was loved by everyone who knew her; she will be truly missed.

Karen is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edward Wynn; her parents, James Donald and Learlene Phillips Ray; and her beloved grandson, Jaxon Wynn.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Angela (Steve) Kilgore of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Jarrell Wynn of Tennessee, Christy Lee, and Jessie (Jessica) Wynn, both of Chickamauga, Georgia; sister, Patrica (Mark) Ekland of Knoxville, Tennessee; brother, Jim Ray of Smyrna, Georgia; grandchildren, Thomas Millican, Jonathan Smith, Hayden Wynn, Dakota Wynn and Aubrey Wynn, and several much-loved great-grandchildren.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring Karen on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 4 - 8 p.m. and on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from noon until the time of service. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.
