Kathy Klein, age 75, resident of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Mrs. Klein, daughter of the late Roy Stapp and Ruby Loraine Hughes Ward, was born October 30,1949 in Lafayette, Georgia. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Mrs. Klein retired from the Health Care Field where she faithfully worked for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, taking trips to the beach with family and friends. While at home, she enjoyed cooking for the family and listening to oldies, classic rock, and gospel music. Many would also see her watching both crime drama movies and television shows. Most of all, she always looked forward to being a care-giver for others, both as a profession and also to her own family. The family remembers her as being “the anchor” of the family, always showing kindness and genuine concern for others.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hayes; and three brothers, Roger, Ronnie, and Tony Ward.
Mrs. Klein is survived by her two children, Krista (Wendy) Stephenson and Kevin Stephenson; her husband, Bob Klein; three step-children, Dawn (Robbie) Malacon, Mike Klein, and Rob (Paulette) Klein; three grandsons, Tyler (Casandra) Stephenson, Corey (Heather) Stephenson, and Patrick Stephenson; six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Madeline, Isabelle, Skylar, Rowan, and Lincoln; four step-grandchildren, Allie, Josh, Cora, and Bryce; many other nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10 a.m. with Father Young officiating. Interment will follow at Woodstation Cemetery. The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe Georgia on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
