Larry Alan Davis passed away October 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Larry never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He was an avid golfer and with excellent skill and talent. He didn’t mind making a bet or taking your money after he won. Always for fun and a hand shake afterwards. A true gentleman, loving husband, and father. He was loved by many and never forgot a face, even near the end of his Alzheimer’s, you could tell he was trying hard to remember. His passing was most peaceful and as he took his last breath here, he was with our loving savior, Jesus Christ. He now has eternal healing, a new mind and a new body.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Blanche and Robert O. Davis; his brothers, Garry and Barry Davis and his grandson, Cody Foxworth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Rae Templeton Davis; his daughters, Gracie Davis, Aimee (Patrick) Foxworth, Kelley McCormick; his sons, Kayden Davis, Aaron (Melissa) Davis; stepson, Zach (Kristyn) Farrow; his brothers, Robert O. (Peggy) Davis Jr. and Robby “Deano” Davis; his grandchildren, Trenton Foxworth, Preston Foxworth, Kailey McCormick, Kassidy McCormick, Tucker, Kyler and Denver Kate Farrow, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Caris Hospice for the care and compassion that they provided during this time.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the Wallis – Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with Pastor James Helton officiating.
