Laura Mashelle Essex, age 45, of Rock Spring, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Sue Essex; and grandparents, William and Laura Essex and Sam Corley.
Mashelle is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Neal, Jr.; boyfriend, Roberto Diaz; daughters, Brittany Lawson (Cody) Coffman, Leigh Desin, and Lilia Essex; sons, Christian Allee, Brandon Williamson, and Braxton Essex; grandchildren, Ethan Coffman, Peyton Coffman, Renesmae Coffman, Scarlet Coffman, Brantley Allee, Kinsley Allee, Waylon Desin, and Rylan George; father, Samuel “Sam” L. Corley; grandmother, Pearl Rounsaville; sisters, Candice Bennett and Denise Snyder; brothers, Lance (Cynthia) Austin and Jackie Snyder; best friend Kristy Colorado; and Alberta Terry whom she looked at as her mother.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, at Kelly’s Ferry Community Church in Whitwell, TN with Pastor Jessie Plott officiating.
A visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to the hour of service at the church.
