Lauren Adele Dix, age 61, of LaFayette passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Bell.
Laurie was a wonderful wife, mother, and ‘Grandy’ to her family. A devoted member of Highlands Presbyterian Church in LaFayette for 20 years, she served on the Worship Team as the drummer for 12 years. She was employed at Audia Plastics in LaFayette, where she loved her job and her work family very much.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Dix; son Kyle (Malorie) Dix; daughter Megan (Nick) Garcia; grandchildren, Theo and Phoebe Dix and Nico and Emma Garcia; mother, Lois Bell; stepmother, Eileen Bell; and sisters, Lynn Bell and Luann Gardner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Highlands Presbyterian Church in LaFayette on Saturday, September 2 from 12 pm to 2 pm. A meal will be provided. A Facebook Event has been created for those who wish to attend.
In lieu of flowers, Laurie requested that donations be made to either Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
