Levi Matthew Helton age 20, of ChickamaUGA, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Sunday – August 20, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends. Levi was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School – Class of 2021 where he competed in pole vaulting on the Track Team. He had been employed at Home Depot in Fort Oglethorpe after graduation. Levi was diagnosed with brain cancer in April of 2022 and had been a fierce fighter during his battle with cancer. Levi was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in ChickamaUGA. He was a Georgia Bulldawgs fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the beloved son of Michelle Helton (Alex) Afanador of LaFayette, GA, Joshua Matthew (Rebecca) Helton of ChickamaUGA, GA, he is also survived by his daughter: Palmer Helton, grandparents: Teresa and Bill Manning, John and Becky Wallace Tucker, siblings: Nathan Tucker, Hannah Shipley, Jayden Afanador, Harlowe Helton, Juliana Afanador, several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 12 noon until 4:30 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday - August 23, 2023 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Williams officiating. Josh Helton, Alex Afanador, Jayden Afanador, Nathan Tucker, Garron O’Toole, Brady Green, Brady Jacobs, Jay Roberts will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at ChickamaUGA Cemetery.
