Linda Denise Fulghum BickfordMcDonald, TN

Linda Denise Fulghum Bickford age 62, of McDonald, Tennessee went home to be with The Lord whom she loved to serve. Linda was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late James Henry Fulghum and Ivadell Bohannon. She spent her childhood in the Lakeview community and was a graduate of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School – Class of 1981. Linda worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist at Hamilton County Nursing Home for several years. She retired from Road-Tec in 2019 where she worked in Sales Support. Linda had resided in the Ooltewah area for the past thirty years and enjoyed serving The Lord at Spirit City Church. She attended the ladies Bible studies on Wednesdays at First Baptist of Cleveland and Thursdays at Spirit City Church. She enjoyed camping, pontoon boat rides and traveling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister: Diane Elizabeth Fulghum.
She is survived by her husband: Waymon Bickford of McDonald, TN, and their children: Kristi (Rocky) Kilgore of Soddy Daisy, TN, Melissa (Dustin) Dawkins of Soddy Daisy, TN, Tara Kelley (Todd) of Ooltewah, TN, Tyler (Kellie) Harvey of Ooltewah, TN, mother: Betty Fulghum of Burning Bush, GA, sister: Peggy (Kenny) Simmons of Rossville, GA, brother: Keith (Angie) Smith of Rossville, GA, grandchildren: Erica, Dusty, Lexus, Kizer, Zoey, Emmy and Levi, great-grandchildren: Haley and Bryant, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 11:00 am until the funeral time. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm – Wednesday – February 25, 2026 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with Pastors: Kelly Knouse and Cody Witucki officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Gardens and Mausoleum – Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
