Margaret Madilene Cordell Lovett, age 85, of LaFayette passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Madilene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Allen Lovett; parents, A.W. Cordell and Eulie Spears McKeehan; sister, Linda Beasley; and brothers, Donald Cordell, Cecil Cordell, David Cordell, and Harold Cordell.
Madilene is survived by her children, Norma Jones, Patricia (Mike) Sosebee, Allen (Kim) Lovett, Kim (Bobby) Steele, and Randy (Kim) Lovett; grandchildren, Melinda, Carie, Chris, Nathan, Aaron, Haley, Autume, Courtney, Katie, Kyle, Brandon, Leah, Amber, D.J., and Meaghan; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Sarah (Gene) Sharrock, Ruth Jones, Juanita (Thomas) Smith, and Gail (Everett) Harpe; brother, Charles Cordell; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 30, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Neal and Pastor Malcolm Harris officiating.
Interment will take place at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Steele, Kyle Steele, Nathan Sosebee, Aaron Sosebee, Chris Jones, and Ron Woods.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Lovett, Kayden Steele, Kofi Shropshire, and Cason Sosebee.
A visitation will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 29, at the funeral home.
