Margaret “Marty” Miller, age 79, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at her residence.
Mrs. Miller, daughter of the late John William Sermons and Nellie Katherine Summter Sermons, was born April 3, 1946 in Pensacola, Florida. She was an active member of Grand Center Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia where she played the piano for several years in addition to playing the piano at New Lookout Baptist Church in prior years. Mrs. Miller worked at Food Lion as the cake decorator for several years until her retirement. She loved the outdoors, being with animals and working in her yard. While at home, many would see her watching sports, particularly Florida Gator football. Most of all, she always looked forward to spending quality time with her family. The family remembers her as a Godly lady who was bold and active in life.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Edwin Miller; three brothers, Gerald Sermons, Donald Sermons, and Jimmy Sermons; and son-in-law, Chris Eudy.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandy Eudy; three sons, Terry Miller, Keith (Becky) Miller, and Billy (Leslie) Miller; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Sunday, January 11, 2026, 2p.m. with Pastor LeGrande Dupree officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Georgia with Pastor Jess Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 10,2026 from 4-7 p.m.
