Mark Allen Mitchell, age 54, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. A lifelong resident of Fort Oglethorpe and Ringgold, Mark was the owner and operator of Rock Spring Paint and Body for over twenty-five years. Known for his unwavering loyalty and dependable nature, Mark was a cherished friend to many, often a friend that was closer than a brother. An avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, he held a deep devotion to his children and grandchildren, with whom he treasured every moment.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pamela Shepherd Mitchell, and his mother, Maire Bell Mitchell.
Mark is survived by his loving children, Nichole (Heath) Smith and Jason (Ashley) Loveless; father, Harold Mitchell and his wife; siblings, Jeff Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Justin Mitchell, and Jenna Hughes, along with their spouses; grandchildren, Keilan, Madison, and Kinley Smith, Noah Loveless, and Avery and Kaylee McDougale. He is also survived by his aunt, Jeanie Roberts; many close friends and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, August 2, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel, with interment to follow at Woodstation Cemetery.
